Last night I had a crazy urge to make my school color headbands. As UGA bulldogs/bulldawgs we bleed red and black. I hope you like them.
There is an extra feature on these headbands. On the underside of the metal headband, I added velvet ribbon for those that have problems with the headbands slipping off their heads. Testing how well the velvet ribbon works for non-slip purposes.
I made two red and black headbands. One with a black base and one with a red base. They are slightly different.

The other night my roommate asked me if I can make her a bow with some material she has and here it is:

It looks so kick ass on her! She can really pull it off. Props to her design. I hope it was what she imagined. After I made it she asked me how she could pay for it, I asked for some of her orange plaid fabric. Such win!!

Took some time out the other day to put all accessories in plastic packaging. This not only make it quicker to ship things out but it also helps me from grabbing one while I am in a rush to get out the apartment and my hair is in a mess. A great way to hide the mess is to distract people with hair accessories!

Don’t get me wrong. There are a lot of things at Urban Outfitters that I love but the price tags for some of their accessories can be ridiculous.
I got my hands on some really interesting materials that I wanted to test out. These are the headbands I handcrafted that night. I hope you like them.

After I finished making two items for my friend’s order, I made a mini batch of hair accessories. I am running low on the headbands so I could only make one.

I really like how this headband turned out. The solid color makes in simple but the detailing makes it standout. Don’t worry that isn’t leather. Totally vegan/vegetarian friendly.

The special thing about the plaid bows is that they have wire in them so you can actually bend and form the bow in any way you want. This is great when you want the bow to stand out more in your hair or if you want a kind of casual, crinkly bow look. These bows are approximately 3-4 inches wide.

I was in the store and I really liked the pattern of the fabric. I wasn’t sure if it would work for bow but I like the feel of it. It’s actually a floral pattern but it kind of looks tie-dyed.

Bought new supplies and got to it as soon as I got home because I felt inspired.
I made my mom and aunt two metal headbands. Very simple. They seemed to like them.
Metal headbands with teeth are going for $3.50.

These are great for when you wear florals or just when you are wearing something plain. As you can see, I’m wearing a purple tank top and it seems to match really well.
Elastic headbands are going for $1.99 each.
The middle one was made first and then the far left. While making the second one I though it would be cool to make a braided/crocheted one.

The strip is thicker but the actual diameter/length of the elastic is short. It is a bit snug, great for those who need a smaller headband but it works for anybody.

The strip is smaller but the diameter is longer and it is a bit loose. Actually, it fits perfectly. When you wear it, it doesn’t feel like you are wearing it but it keeps all your hair in place.

The final accessory I made. Silver braided/crochet elastic headband. The texture of the headband/ribbon helps it from slipping and sliding. Wow, my hair looks messy. I had it in a bun and ehh.. That’s how it looks at the end of the day.
